"Having never had a one night stand, I figured it wise to write a song about one night stands. The idea being that two people who, metaphorically, possess a palette of colours each their own. When they come together, their colours dance and er... mix... and they each leave impressions on the other person.

Additionally, it's a song about emotions as colour, and more accurately a person's scars as colours; embracing those colours."
